Lost some of the creepy loving feeling by dropping the second person narrative. Also, ending the previous book with the Amy chase, and dropping that storyline was odd. I definitely had higher hopes for a more climactic and twisted finish than what was delivered. As others have said, leaving off with the first book would have been fine. Nice and disturbing, especially if this is what we waited for.
Don’t get me wrong, Joe is still the creeper we love, and Kepnes continues to be great with character building, just some of the scary/sparkly goodness definitely faded away with this one.
