Ever wanted to strangle a character pretty much from the first moment they’re introduced? Enter Margaret. Oh the dislike I feel for this women…ugh! This was truly the perfect length, short and to the point. The characters were developed enough that I didn’t care for either of them, thank you Leah Stewart! It is a tale of the new moody neighbor in town and her beyond nosy and needy acquaintance across the pond. The story is told from both of their perspectives and is I suppose a mystery novel (of sorts. Be warned, if you’re looking for nail biting suspense and a stomach turning thrill ride, this is not it. On the other hand, if you want a short quick read with a pretty good story, and characters developed well enough to leave a bad taste in your mouth, and don’t mind reading an emotionally downcast book, it’s not bad at all. I was pumped when I first started reading it, just seemed that by the end the story fell short.
